Size guide
Measuring takes two minutes and saves you a return. Here's how to do it.
A harness keeps your dog in place by fitting snugly around the chest, just behind the front legs. If there's too much room, your dog might back out in fright and slip out in one movement. That's why too big is more problematic than too small.
In three steps
- Have your dog stand still, not sit.
- Measure the chest circumference at the widest point, just behind the front legs. Keep the tape measure taut but don't press it into the fur.
- Also measure the neck, where the collar normally sits. Each size has a range for both.
The sizes
| Size | Chest circumference | Neck | Usually fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 28-38 cm | 23-29 cm | Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Toy Pomeranian |
| S | 36-52 cm | 27-36 cm | Maltipoo, Bichon, Shih Tzu |
| M | 43-59 cm | 34-42 cm | Cavapoo, Cavalier, small Doodle |
Moo, our Maltipoo, wears size S.
The ranges overlap, and that's correct
The harness is adjustable, so each size covers a range. If you fall between two sizes, choose the size where your measurement is in the middle of the range. If you're at the upper limit, you're already using the last holes and won't have room for a thicker coat in winter.
How it should fit
Two fingers of space between the strap and the fur. Not one, because then it will chafe. Not three, because then your dog can slip out.
Trying it on is allowed
You can't know if it fits without trying it on. Do that indoors, and return it as you received it if it doesn't fit. Exchanges are possible within 14 days: you pay for the return shipping, we send the new harness for free.
